Who Are We, Exactly?

VOICES FOR HIRE is a talent management agency with a steadily growing number of voiceover talents, emcees, hosts and entertainers. Not only are we Singapore's premier artist management company (actually, we aren't, we'd like to pretend we are. But hey! It's ok to put out a bold-ass statement like that, because someday we will be. Dare to Dream, people!), we are also trained emcees and voice-over artists. Services provided by our talents include emceeing dinner & dances, roadshows, product launches. We also do voiceovers for broadcast (radio, TV commercials, youtube ads, etc) and non-broad cast, for example, training and educational videos, phone message systems & voicemails, explainer videos, emergency messages, audio books and e-learning modules.

Our guys have been coached by veteran radio broadcasters, like Joe Augustin and Petrina Kow, who are, let me tell you, strict teachers. Think ruler and cane. If we didn't have a straight face when delivering a joke or if we mispronounced a word, there'd be hell on earth! We kid. We kid. Most times they channelled their inner Gordon Ramsay or Simon Cowell, harsh but it's what we needed to hear.
If they had been anything like the American Idol judges, we'd all have been a lost cause. Who is that teddy bear looking R&B singer who won season 2 then disappeared from the face of earth? (After some Googling, we found out it was Ruben Studdard.) Good singers, yes, but also very forgettable.

And we definitely aren't. We were trained well and we will guarantee a buck load of incomprehensible professionalism and a whole lot of stupendous hosting. We are using the big words now.
What sets us apart from our competitors is that we have extremely affordable rates matched by few in this industry. You know you wanna meet us!

Pree Damo, Lady Boss

PREETHA DAMODARAN, affectionately known as Pree, is a former Producer-Presenter/ Newscaster with Singapore Press Holdings Radio 91.3FM. An emcee herself, Pree is aware of the difficulties newbies face in an industry, which is all about ‘who you know’. Using what she has learnt from her 10 years of hosting and broadcasting, she is keen to offer new talents a piece of the pie as well.

Joe Augustin, Mentor

Joe Augustin, Mentor

This man needs no introduction, he's been around the block and back, the radio block, that is. Emceeing is something Joe was doing since he was in Victoria Junior College. But before all that happened, Joe Augustin began his radio career when he was just 18 years old in Brunei on a Saturday afternoon as a guest DJ. Always ready to listen, share and educate, we couldn't have asked for a better mentor.
